- Tens Across The Board features ten rare and unreleased tracks from ten different countries.
Dark Entries is marking its tenth birthday with a new compilation called Tens Across The Board next month.
The ten tracks are a mixture of rare and unreleased material from the San Francisco label's vast archival roster, and none of them have ever been pressed to vinyl before. Each artist is from a different country, and the compilation runs in chronological order from 1981 through 1993.
Among the songs featured are a 1983 demo from Greek artist Lena Platonos, a 1984 track from Severed Heads man Tom Ellard under his Lord Metal alias, an instrumental from Italian group Victrola and a demo by San Francisco's Cyrnai, who was the focus of a six-LP box set last year. There's also an early track from Belgian group Parade Ground with contributions from Front 242 members Patrick Codenys and Jean-Luc De Meyer.
Out this month on Dark Entries is a new collection of unreleased material from electronic pioneer Patrick Cowley, along with the debut album from Photonz, Nuit.
