  • ShugboroughWith details on the many of the usual summer clubbing festivities already being released, some a little more yawn-able than others, Renaissance are making a stand by going more than an extra mile by hosting this impressive boutique-festival event. Renaissance are to utilize the rich history of Britain by taking hosting a 10,000 capacity event at one of the most beautiful and incredibly preserved stately homes - the Shugborough Hall. The hall is centrally situated in the Staffordshire countryside in the home of Lord Lichfield. The Shugborough will host 3 fully floored marquees titled - Wild hosted by Renaissance, Pacha's Ibiza Suite and the Shadow Lounge with respective capacities of 5000, 3000 and 2000. Headlining across the three arenas include Sasha and Digweed, Dave Seaman, Zabiela, Derrick Carter, Infusion and Yousef among others. On speaking of the recent years of half-heartedness from UK industry with its events, Geoff Oakes of Renaissance said “Renaissance sees this unique event as a timely response to the complacency that has beset the UK's summer festivals. Quantity seems to preside over quality in what has become the standard festival offering, where cost is always the defining factor in levels of production. In recent years these events have done nothing to inspire their audience. We aim to change that.” The event will run from 7.00pm right through until 6.00am with the remaining tickets at £35 (they went on sale late February - you can purchase them at wayahead here). The line-up so far stands like so...
