  • House music legend DJ Sneak who often requests a plate of fresh in season fruits on his rider will release his first proper artist album Housekeepin' on September 20. Set to be preceded by the single ‘Que Pasa’ as the follow up to the head sticking ‘Fix My Sink’ the album will be officially released (by Magnetic Recordings) at two big parties. Pacha in Ibiza on September 14 and a special London gig at The End, home to his very popular ‘Sneak Beats’ nights. Speaking about the title to the album the master of quirky house loop Sneak reveals:”Why did I call it 'Housekeepin'? Two reasons. I'm keeping house music alive and hopefully taking it to people who wouldn't normally listen to it. Further to that I'm cleaning all the sh*t off the shelves and putting some good music out."Though Sneak has produced two dj friendly albums in the past - 'Blue Funk Files' and 'Rice & Beans' - his third, 'Housekeepin', is a real departure. DJ Sneak:
"I wasn't just making an album for DJ's. I think 'Housekeepin' has things people outside of dance music will be interested in. There's music on there that sounds like Steely Dan or the Doobie Brothers and Funkadelic. I wanted to twist things up. It's influenced by music from when I was a kid in Puerto Rico up to the point I first heard house music."
