  • The world renowned, controversial in its acceptance by the public, hugely popular and overall the Top DJ Poll is back for 2004. Last year they attracted over 60,000 votes and it's once again time to welcome back the DJ Mag top one hundred. The poll (which opened on Friday) and was kicked off last Thursday night at London’s AKA bar with a party full of industry people murmuring as to who would take out this years title. Playing a great role and speaking about the awards, DJ Mag editor Lesley Wright said: "This is the 11th year of the poll, and we are expecting more votes than ever. A message to all the DJs in all the scenes from around the world - make sure you have your say." The same questions are back on the plate; will the seemly unstoppable DJ Tiesto rise above the pack again, could Sasha's Involver revival and endless international touring be enough to take it, will we see John Digweed and his constant work with his record label, radio shows and many of the industry leading producers and DJs take him ahead, or could one of the other strong and steady rising talents like Hernan Cattaneo, Jeff Mills, Danny Howells, the Plump DJs, Sander K, Zabiela, Garnier and various others that take their debut victory. If you need some inspiration before you submit your Top 5 and vote you can check out the RA DJ Pages. The winner will be announced at midnight on October 28.
