  • Earlier this month we announced that in aid of the current humanitarian disaster situation in the Sudan Tribal Gathering would through their first outdoor event for 8 year in Leeds on July 16, 2005. We can now reveal that 3 more artists have been confirmed. Scottish producer Mylo, whose album ‘Destroy Rock & Roll’ received plaudits across the board, will be joined by Canada’s Tiga, who superb musical ear has seen him recently in the studio re-mixing singles for the likes of the Scissor Sisters, Peaches and Soulwax. Also appearing on the bill are garage renegades the Stanton Warriors. Other confirmed artists include: Tribal Gathering 2005 Line-up to date Groove Armada, Audio Bully’s, Frankie Knuckles, Danny Rampling, Mike Pickering, El Presidente, Infadels, Krysko, Layo and Bushwacka, Zero 7, Francois K, Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts, Victor Calderone, X-Press 2, Chicken Lips, Joey Negro, Norman Jay, Unabombers, Bugz in the Attic, DJ Yoda, Dave Beer and Bez, 20:20 Soundsystem. Set across 4 arenas Tribal Gathering will be an open-air festival and will accommodate 20,000 dance revellers. In typical Tribal Gathering mysticism, the location is being kept a deliberately guarded secret – but we can reveal is that it will be set in ‘secret enchanted woodlands’ near Leeds. Tickets are priced at £39 plus booking fee for the first 5000 (£45 plus booking fee after that). The Tribal Gathering hotline 0161 832 1111 or online at Ticket Line.
