  • Future Entertainment roll out the breaks again with the return of Futurebreaks, this time at QBH and featuring the very talented Krafty Kuts (UK) and the duo JDS (UK). The party is on Friday 8 July and Krafty Kuts will be doing a 3 hour set on the night. Martin Reeves aka Krafty Kuts was last in Melbourne in 2004. Over the past year, he has had no less than 10 breakbeat remixes charted in the UK top 40. Martin’s DJing has earned him well deserved praise. When not playing his residencies in Brighton, he is frequently at London clubs or international gigs and festivals. He is definately a firm favourite of Australian breaks fans. Also on the bill for Futurebreaks are JDS, the duo of Darren Pearce and Julian Napolitano. They're best known for their huge club hit “9 Ways” on FFRR Records and later releases “London Town” and “Destiny Calls” in the late '90s. More recently they released the huge tune ‘Blackout’ on TCR prompting Norman Cook to state that JDS "do the best breakdowns ever"! Their recent tune ‘Purple Funky Monkey’ became one of the biggest selling tunes ever on TCR. The JDS sound is in such demand that they’ve done remixes for Orbital, Jason Nevins, TCR boss Rennie Pilgrem and more. Tickets for this event are $40 +bf and are on sale now from Ticketek and the usual retail outlets.
