  • Disco-breakz-funkster combo Slyde, made up of Robin 12Tree and Jason Laidback will soon embark on an Australian tour. There mutual love for breaks has seen them collaborate together with great effect and with a recent hit on UK label Finger Lickin’ it’s a partnership that is a winning formula. Robin 12Tree, originally hails from Wiltshire in the West Country who signed to Regal Records as 12Tree, he released 'Back In Town Again', 'Club Bastard' and 'Izzy Was A Groover', with further releases on Tummy Touch Recordings and Positive Vibrations. A spate of remix work followed for various acts including Moloko and the legendary Shirley Bassey. Partner in crime Jason Laidback was an accomplished scratch DJ by the tender age of thirteen - a result of passionately tuning in to Tim Westwood's shows on pirate radio back in the day. Since then he has gone on to remix chart-topping hits such as De La Soul's '3 is the Magic Number' and Naughty By Nature's 'O.P.P', and toured the UK on the back of his club hit, 'A Juicy Red Apple'.
