  • Australia's premier hip hop trio, Mnemonic Ascent is set to embark upon a short run of east coast dates in support of their much lauded album "The Books Full" . Mnemonic Ascent are BVA, Raph Boogie and DJ Ransom and formed in 1999. Picking up and improving on their first album “The Outside Inn”, the second "The Books Full" is Oz hip hop at its best. The Mnemonic formula is simple: bass heavy, warm, sample-based production combined with honest, mature and charismatic lyricism that ranges topically from introspective to braggadocio. They keep is clean of gimmicks and superfluous production. BVA and Raph's magnetic songwriting is a perfect match for Ransom's astute production and turntablism. Mnemonic Ascent's "The Book Full" is released on Crookneck Records/Stomp and available now in stores. Mnemonic Ascent Australian Tour Friday 8th July - Candys Apartment - Sydney Saturday 9th July - Corner Hotel - Melbourne Friday 15th July - The Rev - Brisbane Saturday 23 July - Higher Ground- Adelaide
