  • They have being described as everything from indie-pop to electro-tinged rock and much like the rest of the media we find it very difficult to classify them, but one thing we do know is that Grand National are riding a wave of justified success all the way to their debut US tour this weekend. Their ‘Kicking The National Habit’ release has given them a rapidly growing profile in the UK and Australia, however without an official stateside release they have built a cult following purely on the back of their dance/rock blend and have America’s press bigging them up to boot. The band (Lawrence Rudd and Rupert Lyddon) will showcase their fresh sound on Saturday evening, June 11 at New York’s Knitting Factory before a Monday night (June 13) gig presented by the famous KCRW crew at The Mercury Lounge. NYC. No time to rest before they then head west to Knitting Factory Los Angeles for a show on Wednesday, June 15.
