We see the words ‘highly anticipated’ on every press release that flies across our desk, so it was no surprise that we were told to eagerly anticipate a new offering from quality home of all thinks broken – Breakbeat Kaos. One thing is slightly different however, because all at RA HQ are actually very interested in hearing the debut album from Pendulum - ‘Hold Your Colour’.
They burst onto the scene in 2003 with explosive Drum ‘n’ Bass tune ‘Vault’ and further confirmed their big room reputation ‘Another Planet’ a year later, which was considered such an anthem it made it to No. 43 in the UK National Charts. It features 13 tracks with the usual cinematic elements, funk and selection of Drum ‘n’ Bass that encompasses an abundance of sounds, rips them apart and serves them up in a Drum ‘n’ Bass format that will appeal to a far wider variety than the usual DnB select group. The album is chalked down for an August release and will come in a 4xLP pack as well as CD.
