As the world continues to search for the ultimate festival location, this weekend (July 28/29) will see Jordan firmly put its hand up with the amazing Distant Heat Festival which takes place in the breathtaking desert of Wadi Rum.
An all night rave in the south of Jordan will see the third edition of the Middle East’s best outdoor dance event take place with a huge line-up of local artists playing alongside Dutch trance headliner Armin Van Buuren.
Jordan's DJ talent, namely DJ Kalice, DJ Bee Bee, and DJ Wajih will showcase the locals rising abilities in the art of Djing. Wajih makes a special mention of Distant Heat 3 promoter Julian Noursi, explaining the role this festival has played in their exposure:"The DJ as an innovative artist does not receive enough support in Jordan yet, but the past two or three years have seen a lot of improvement. People are getting tired of hearing the same pop music every week, so they are demanding new things. I think we are at the forefront of the movement here, and Distant Heat has made all the difference over the past couple of years to draw attention to Jordan."
Overnight camping is on hand, whilst there is parking available for those who intend to drive.
