The Dutch dance scene shows no signs of slowing down as Europe's biggest electronic music conference prepares for three days of 300 DJs at 30 venues across Amsterdam.
Taking place over three days and nights on October 27th, 28th and 29th, this year's ADE looks set to be even bigger than usual with 2005 marking the event's tenth anniversary. The night program will see more than 300 DJs and artists performing at over 30 clubs around Amsterdam.
As it has done over the past decade, the ADE will once again present a broad and diverse view of the electronic music scene. The expected 45,000 music fans and 1500 or so industry professionals can look forward to hear everything from house, trance, electro, techno and progressive to more leftfield electronica and experimental grooves.
Confirmed acts for the 2005 program include Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, Derrick May, Dave Clarke, Sebastian Leger, Futureshock, Aidan Lavelle, Chris Salt, Martin Solveig, Josh Wink, Kevin Saunderson, Jacek Sienkiewicz, Christian Wunsch, Anthony Rother, Billy Nasty, Steve Mac, Jori Hulkkonen, Adam Freeland, John Acquaviva, Simon Dunmore, Pascal FEOS, Seamus Haji, James Ruskin, Joris Voorn, Laidback Luke, Lucien Foort, Joost van Bellen, Moloko's Roisin Murphy plus many many more.
New and emerging talent will be showcased at DJ Cafés, lounges, art galleries, record stores and other locations around Amsterdam. The event will coincide with D3: Dutch DJ Day and will also include special a DJ and producer seminar about music production and careers in music.
The daytime ADE Conference will take place in Felix Meritis and will once again serve as the ideal platform for professionals from the electronic and dance music arenas to network, exchange ideas and discuss key issues affecting the current electronic and dance music scene. Paul van Dyk and ID&T's Duncan Stutterheim are two of the already confirmed keynote speakers with more to be announced soon.
