Arca has remixed Frank Ocean.
The Arca mix of "Little Demon" was premiered on Ocean's blonded RADIO show over the weekend and is now available to pre-order on vinyl via his website. The 7-inch record is set to ship in eight to 12 weeks. Like the original, Arca's remix features Skepta. Ocean also announced a new single called "In My Room."
Arca has played and hosted Ocean's New York-based PrEP+ queer party series in recent weeks. The events received criticism for missing discussion of HIV stigmatization, not booking local queer artists and overlooking the exclusionary high costs of the PrEP drug—the party was billed as a "homage to what could have been of the 1980s' NYC club scene if the drug PrEP... had been invented in that era." Ocean has been spruiking his interest in dance music recently, claiming interest in "Detroit, Chicago, techno, house, French electronic" styles and playing RA favourites like Anthony Naples and Rezzett in his radio show.
