Oval has an EP, Eksploio, and an album, Scis, on the way via Thrill Jockey.
While Markus Popp is known as an innovator in process-driven production and live performance, the two new records emphasize the human element of Oval's artistry, mixing acoustic instruments with electronics while continuing to explore and subvert club music. The last Oval album, Popp, came out in 2014 on the German artist's own Uovooo imprint.
Popp has long worked with the Chicago label, who have released the American versions of classic albums like 1995's 94diskont.
