- Luna Nueva is out November 22nd.
Belgium-based artists Clara Sobrino and Maoupa Mazzocchetti are Clara! Y Maoupa on their new joint album, Luna Nueva.
Out this month on Low Jack's label Editions Gravats, the album merges Latin dance and Galician folk genres. Encompassing 15 tracks, the LP features vocals from Sobrino alongside Mazzocchetti's reggaeton-influenced experiments. In a classic dub style, the album concludes with instrumental versions of seven tracks off the record.
Clara! y Maoupa released a collaborative EP, Meneo, on Editions Gravats last year. Both Mazzocchetti and Sobrino have regularly worked with the imprint over the years for solo and collaborative efforts. Clara! released the Reggaetoneras mixtapes series through the label and collaborated with its cofounder, Low Jack, while Mazzocchetti put out his 2018 album, Gag Flag, through Gravats.
