  • It is now less than 3 weeks until the arrival of Roots Manuva (aka Rodney Smith) on these shores. He is heading to Australia and New Zealand for a huge tour to showcase his latest album "Awfully Deep", released earlier this year. Roots Manuva has always had a hip hop career different to the other stars in his genre with his albums Brand New Second Hand and Run Come Save Me (featuring the huge hit Witness (1 Hope)), not to mention his collaborations with Leftfield, Cinematic Orchestra, UNKLE/DJ Shadow and Jurassic 5's Chali 2na. On this tour Roots Manuva will be takings to the stage with his devilishly sly lyricism, maverick beats and a sensational 6 piece live band. This is sure to be a unique and enlightening performance. As the tour draws closer there have been some changes to the schedule. Those Kiwi's love Roots Manuva so much that a second show has been added in Auckland at Studio. Also the Perth venue has been changed and the gig will now be held at the fremantle Arts Centre. Don't miss this tour if you love your dub and UK style hip hop!
