  • Behringer appears to be releasing a clone of the Roland TB-303 bass synthesiser. The TD-03 is an analogue remake of the classic Roland synth. Reports say it's to be officially revealed today, but leaked details from the Behringer website appeared online earlier this week. Behringer say they've reproduced the original analogue circuitry and matched transistors to the original in an effort to authentically recreate the acid sound. The TB-303's notoriously difficult sequencer has been replaced with a seven-track, 16-step revision, plus there's now a distortion circuit modelled on BOSS's DS-1 guitar pedal on board. The price has been speculated at €149. We'll update this post when the announcement is out. Roland has its own digital version of the TB-303. Earlier this year, Roland filed to trademark its TB-303 and TR-808 designs.
