  • London's Touching Bass collective and the Free Word art centre are cohosting a night on the club as a place of belonging. The event, which takes place on December 6th at Free Word in Clerkenwell, is called Black Home: The Club As Sanctuary. In the words of its organisers: "As club venues continue to fall victim to market forces and social cleansing, we honour their heritage and the vital contributions of Black and LGBTQI+ folx to London's music culture." The evening will begin with discussions, followed by poetry readings and DJ sets. Among the artists involved are Tony Nwachukwu, BBZ's Kai-Isaiah Jamal and Sippin' T, and Touching Bass' Belinda Zhawi, Errol, Alex Rita and Yewande YoYo Odunubi.
