- All the music on At The Villa was recorded during a recent session in Kampala, Uganda.
Nyege Nyege Tapes is launching a series of mixtapes.
The first instalment, At The Villa, was recorded in the two weeks following the 2018 edition of MTN Nyege Nyege Festival in Uganda. Tanzanian singeli artists Jay Mitta and Sisso joined Errorsmith and Glasgow-based collective The Modern Institute at Nyege Nyege HQ in Kampala.
The result is a two-sided tape, mixed by The Modern Institute, spanning 20 unreleased collaborations and remixes by Errorsmith, Mitta, Sisso and the Glasgow crew. The tape will be limited to 100 copies. A digital version featuring nine tracks from the session will also be available.
