  • Robert Sillerman, the founder of SFX Entertainment, has died at age 71. According to Billboard, the American business tycoon died from a respiratory illness this past Sunday, November 24th. Sillerman was an entertainment and concert mogul who first started his company, SFX Entertainment, in the '90s. He later sold SFX to Clear Channel, who transformed it into Live Nation. In 2012, Sillerman relaunched SFX to take advantage of the EDM boom and acquired Beatport as well as promoters like React, Made Event and ID&T.
