The team behind London venue Studio 338 has bought and refurbished popular Essex club Sugar Hut.
Opening this weekend, the new-look Brentwood spot has been fitted with a new VOID soundsystem, plus new lighting, screens and updated decor. The club will employ a door picker.
"We see the new Sugar Hut as the place where Essex meets Ibiza," Studio 338 events director Dan Perrin says.
Saturday's opening party will feature sets by garage legends Sunship and Groove Chronicles, Amsterdam DJ Chelina Manuhutu and former Ibiza star Brandon Block. Looking further ahead, Sankeys, Café Mambo and Hot Bed all have dates locked in.
Housed in a 15th century former coaching inn, Sugar Hut was made famous by the hit UK TV show The Only Way Is Essex, AKA TOWIE, which featured the club extensively.
