- The beach festival returns this January at a new location after a year off.
Comunité 2020 will go down January 11th and 12th at Sativa Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Comunité is presented by the popular Mexico City club Yu Yu, NAAFI, Berlin promoter and DJ Darwin, Dynamic Waves and event production team Sativa Puerto. The festival used to happen in Tulum, on the Atlantic coast, but will move west this year after taking 2019 off.
In addition to low-end savvy international acts like Mala, Kode9 and Madam X, the festival spotlights LATAM artists who comprise 80% of the bill. Those include Mexican Jihad and Fausto Bahia from the NAAFI crew, Nico (FKA White Visitation) and Terminal resident Phaedra.
Sativa Puerto Escondido is widely regarded as one of the world's premiere surfing beaches. Comunité will protect the setting with a sustainability initiative done in partnership with Impact0.
