Afrodeutsche has scored an short documentary film, "Kamali."
Commissioned to soundtrack the film last year, the UK producer Henrietta Smith-Rolla announced the news via Twitter earlier this week. "Kamali" follows the life of a mother and her seven-year-old skateboarder daughter, living in their small village in India. The film has since received numerous accolades, including best film at Atlanta Music Festival and best short documentary at Raindance Film Festival.
Smith-Rolla is a Mancheshester-based producer and DJ best known for her NTS Radio residency. Her recent catalog includes an EP, RR001, which was also River Rapid's debut release. Last year, she put out her debut full-length, Break Before Make on Skam.
