Colombian label F.S.U. has release a 42-track benefit compilation, Música Urgente.
Released earlier this week, the album, whose name translates to "urgent music," was compiled to support the resistance to Colombia's right-wing government. As the anti-government marches that shook the country on November 21st persist, a host of Colombian and Colombia-based artists reflect on the protest movement.
With the intention of exposing the ongoing political crisis in Colombia, each of Música Urgente's 42 tracks have titles referencing the range of political and social issues besetting the country. The tracklist features the likes of Magdalena, Merino, Retrograde Youth and Verraco.
All proceeds from the album will be donated to non-profit organizations resisting the Colombian government, including the community protection network The Indigenous Guard.
