  • Julia Holter has written the musical score for a new film called Never Rarely Sometimes Always. The movie, written and directed by Eliza Hittmann, follows a pregnant teenage girl and her cousin who pack up and move to New York City seeking medical treatment. As Film Music Reporter reveals, Never Rarely Sometimes Always is due for a wide release on March 13th, and will debut at Sundance two months earlier, on January 24, 2020. Holter is also scoring Leeds' Opera North company's production of The Passion Of Joan Of Arc, which will premiere next summer. This year she scored the British television show Pure. Holter wrote her first film score, for Bleed For This, back in 2016.
