- Robots and their troop of loyal fans will soon enjoy the sounds of Ellen Allien and Audion (Mathew Dear) on a school night (Tuesday, September 27) at a special party at Cielo. More than a few ears have pricked up since Ellen’s latest album ‘Thrills’ dropped with its driving floor based techno, pounding basslines and teutonic vocals. Mathew Dear brings his Audon project to NYC in support of his forthcoming debut ‘Suckfish’ on Ghostly International’s sister dance floor electronic label Spectral Sound. With as many varied sounds as aliases, the prodigious Detroit producer and DJ will showcase the sounds we can expect to hear from him on the upcoming release and in true AUDION style. Support will come from Nick AC and Dennis Rodgers.
