  • Sequential has a new addition to its Pro line of synthesisers. The Pro 3 continues the legacy of the Pro-One and Pro 2, which provided a monophonic alternative to full-size synths from the Prophet series. The original Pro-One was produced in the early '80s in the wake of the success of compact, cheaper monophonic synths like Moog's Prodigy and the Roland SH-101. The new model combines two traditional analogue oscillators with a third digital sound source for wavetables, which are routed through a choice of three filter types: a four-pole low-pass filter from the Prophet-6; a transistor ladder filter with optional resonance compensation; and a state-variable filter from the OB-6 providing notches, bandpass and other filter shapes. There's also ample modulation on-board, with three syncable LFOs and four freely assignable ADSR envelopes. See the full feature set on the Sequential website. The Pro 3 is available to pre-order now for $1,599. Listen to INHALT's audio demo of the Pro 3.
