- The Finnish artist's first LP in five years, out February 27th, is inspired by the harsh conditions of the tundra.
Vladislav Delay is back with his first album in five years, due out in February.
Rakka is reportedly inspired by the Finnish producer's time spent in the Arctic, inspired by the harsh, frozen environment of the tundra. Sasu Ripatti spent the last five years on a sort of hiatus, focusing on raising his family and going on extensive hikes and adventures in Finnish nature. (He talks about this in a Crack interview from last year.)
The new album follows 2014's Visa. This time the LP comes on Cosmo Rhythmatic, the label run by Shapednoise, Ascion and D. Carbone.
The material on Rakka debuted as an audiovisual performance with Ripatti's partner, AGF, at Berlin Atonal last year.
