  • A generative score by Björk is playing in the lobby of New York City hotel Sister City. Kórsafan uses AI from Microsoft to play through selections culled from 17 years worth of choral recordings by the Icelandic artist. In a statement she said, "An architectural structure in downtown Manhattan offered me the hand in an AI tango, and I accepted the call. I am alert with curiosity waiting the results. I offered them my choir archives, written over 17 years, that will float through the pinball of artificial intelligence by the grid of bird migrations, clouds, aeroplanes and that voluptuous thing called barometer!" According to Microsoft, the work explores seasonality, with weather changes, barometric pressure and migrating birds influencing the arrangements.
