  • Delroy Edwards is returning to L.I.E.S. for his next album in February. Slap Happy is said to be inspired by the sounds of mid-'80s Chicago house music, featuring '80s-inspired synths and Latin-informed percussion from the Roland TR-727. It features eight new tracks and follows Edwards' previous release for L.I.E.S., the Wagon Wheels EP, last year, and the Aftershock LP from 2018. The prolific American producer also released an EP on Apron Records in 2019 and a 22-track album, Rio Grande on his own LA Club Resource label (which is also releasing two EPs from Emanuel Pippin, out now, and Gene Hunt, due soon). Last year, he also launched a new project called Earth To Mickey.
