  • Canadian label Isla is putting out unreleased recordings from Exquisite Corpse. The double-LP, ?E, comprises music that Robbert Heijnen and Debbie Jones made under the name XqST, taken from recording sessions in 1996 (in the Netherlands) and 2003 (in Vancouver, Canada). The music takes a more experimental direction than typical Exquisite Corpse material, and the tracks were mostly recorded at nighttime as a relaxing exercise after the couple put their children to sleep. Exquisite Corpse is a long-running experimental techno group (and offshoot of Psychick Warriors Of Gaia) that started in 1992. Jones joined the year after and the duo released plenty of material on Belgian label KK Records through the '90s. Listen to clips.
