The four-track self-titled record is out now and comes with the London artist's decision to remove her mask.
The London-based artist has also announced the removal of her signature mask, which she has publicly worn since she was 16. Comprising four tracks, LCY focuses on jungle breakbeats and darker, more percussive styles.
"The reason I started wearing a mask was for anonymity and for listeners' focus to be on the music and the art," LCY says. "Sadly, in recent years I feel this reason has backfired and the mask has become a focal point of what I do and not of my craft. The opposite of what I initially intended. Masks don't belong to me or my culture. Research the masks' roots and respect them, especially in a time when they are, disgustingly, being linked to racist attacks and abuse."
LCY is a Bristol-born producer and founder of SZNS7N. Last year, she released the S1N EP on the imprint, as well as her first vinyl release, the Project Ghost EP.
