  • Horo is releasing the next album from Lemna on Friday, March 6th. Storytelling #1: Reminiscences Of Inner Scenery was recorded over two weeks while Japanese producer Maiko Okimoto was suffering from insomnia. She experienced delirium from sleep deprivation where it became hard to tell the dreamworld from reality, then wrote down impressions of what she saw and thought, and recorded music to go with it. "I still don't know how I wrote these tunes as I don't have much memory of those days," Okimoto says. "But I think they express raw emotions that had been bottled up inside. In the end, this experience ended up feeling like hypnotherapy. I wrote all these tunes in about two weeks at a pace of one tune a night, and the LP is laid out in date order. I can see the kind of process of crystallization and purification of my innermost feelings and memories through the sounds." Okimoto's last release on Horo, an album-length double-EP about the duality of perception, came out in October. Watch the video for "Harbinger Of A Shift," directed by Tatsuya Fujimoto.
