- The split full-length from the emerging experimental artists is out March 30th on BAKK.
Cucina Povera & Haron have collaborated for the latest release in BAKK's Plafond series, out March 30th.
Maria Rossi (AKA Cucina Povera) and Haron Aumaj have built followings on the basis of strong solo albums. Rossi put out Hilja in 2018 and Zoom last year, with Tyyni to come this Friday, while Haron's debut LP, Wandelaar, came out on Queeste in 2018.
Their two approaches—Cucina Povera's tactile experimentalism and Haron's digitally aided melodicism—combine on the three-part, 21-minute A-side, "Riffittelyä." The B-side features a solo cut from each of them.
It's the sixth release in BAKK's Plafond series of split and collaborative records featuring the likes of Ulla Strauss and Rupert Clervaux. (Haron contributed a track to 2016's Plafond 1, alongside cuts from Legowelt and SFV Acid.)
Listen to "Riffittelyä II."
