The Peckham event will now take place on May 29th and 30th next year.
The Peckham Rye Park event, which was supposed to host its first two-day edition in a couple weekends, has been postponed until 2021. It'll now take place over next year's late May bank holiday weekend, Saturday, May 29th, to Sunday, the 30th, at the same venue.
"We were hopeful to be able to reschedule to the end of summer but, as recent weeks have passed, it's become clear that even that won't be possible," festival organisers said in a statement today.
The team also asked that 2020 ticket buyers who are financially able to consider forgoing their refund: "We know that we are by no means the only ones feeling the economic impact of the pandemic, but we are appealing to those of you who have the means, to roll over your ticket to 2021, instead of requesting a refund... As an independent festival we rely almost entirely on ticket sales, so a year without a festival is a year without income for our small, full-time team."
GALA's 2020 lineup featured the likes of Antal, CC:DISCO!, DEBONAIR, Bradley Zero, Nightmares On Wax and Roman Flügel.
