ANTHOLOGIA is launching with a project from Moor Mother, AKA Camae Ayewa, and Olof Melander. Recorded over one week in March, the vocals are described as "89 percent freestyle poems, stretching the sounds as we moved closer to a deadline."
The series will devote its funds to disability justice through the Afrofuturist Affair's Futurist Fund. Proceeds from the digital album will be used to cover the cost of production, which was $600, while sales from forthcoming cassette tapes will be directed toward the Futurist Fund.
Earlier this year, Moor Mother recorded a live album, True Opera as Moor X Jewelry, her project with Mental Jewelry. Prior to that record, she put out the RA-Recommended album, Analog Fluids Of Sonic Black Holes.
