The seven-day campaign, which includes photos, posters and other memorabilia, launched today ahead of what would have been the event's anniversary weekend.
The campaign, which launched today, Monday, June 22nd, consists of two parts: the Glastonbury archive, managed by the V&A since 2014, and a memory project, which encourages festivalgoers to send in stories and memories from past editions. The latter will feed into a larger V&A project to map the festival's history.

This weekend would have marked 50 years since the first Glastonbury in 1970. Due to the coronavirus crisis, the festival has been postponed until 2021. Fans can console themselves this weekend with an extensive programme across the BBC, featuring classic performances by The Chemical Brothers, Grimes, LCD Soundsystem, FKA twigs and many more.
