- Produced during lockdown, the 14-track surprise LP is out now on Phantasy.
Daniel Avery has just released this third solo studio album.
Today's surprise release, the 14-track Love + Light, was produced during pandemic lockdown and recently completed. "This record has been a real positive force of energy in my life, to the point where it almost formed itself in front of me," Avery says. "In that same spirit, I wanted to share it with you now, as soon as it was finished."
Erol Alkan's label Phantasy is releasing the LP globally, joined by Mute Records for the US and Canada issue.
Avery has recently collaborated on a 12-inch with Roman Flügel as Noun and with Alessandro Cortini for the Illusion Of Time LP. His latest solo output includes the 2018 LP Song For Alpha and the complementary Diminuendo EP and B-sides release, as well as the soundtrack for a Leeds art installation.
Update, July 9th: Daniel Avery has released a visual component for the entire album by Australian designer Greg Hodgson. Watch it here.
