Kieran Hebden casually dropped the news in the comments of a livestream, where he said that there's "other new stuff coming too."
The relationship between the two iconic producers spans back to at least 2005, when Madvillain's Four Tet Remixes dropped. They've remained chummy since, sharing DJ bills and record digging tips.
Hebden, in line with his typical oblique promotional tactics, dropped news on the album in the comments of his YouTube livestream, simply saying "I've made an album with Madlib," before adding, "got other new stuff coming too."
Four Tet released an album, Sixteen Oceans, in March. Hebden also went through his archives and compiled a 559-track playlist comprising tracks he's "written, recorded, produced, remixed [and] performed on."
Madlib, meanwhile, will release a spiritual jazz album with drummer Karriem Riggins as Jahari Masamba Unit in late November.
We'll have more information on the Madlib & Four Tet collaborative full-length as it's available.
