- Kosheen are no longer hiding away in the northern hemisphere. They're bursting back onto the scene with a new album due in 2006 and an Australian tour in Match. Catch them while you can.
Kosheen are back! It has been a long time since they last played in Australia at the Big Day Out in 2002. The group were the biggest selling dance act that year and their single ‘Hide U’ from the debut album ‘Resist’ became a worldwide hit earning them a multitude of awards. Within the trio of Kosheen, Darren Decoder and Markee Substance provide the drum & bass and electronic undertones, which are fused seamlessly with the soulful vocals of singer Sian Evans.
The group are hitting the road in March to promote their forthcoming third artist album. The latest single from the album is "Freaks of Nature" and you can preview the track on the band's website.
The tour will be a combination of DJ set and live PA. The DJ set from Darren Decoder and Markee Substance (Kosheen DJ’s) will feature a unique blend of house electro and breaks, before Sian joins the fellas to road test new material as well as perform their classics.
The Melbourne show at The Corner Hotel will have support from Mr Jigga and DJ Murat. It's an early start for this event with doors open from 8pm.
