Prepare yourself for a truly graceful and beautiful piece of work as M_nus star Troy Pierce, under his Louderbach guise, drops his new album 'Enemy Love'.
Louderbach first surfaced as a track title on Pierce's 'The Master Of Slack EP', which was released as an MP3 download on Jay Haze's textone e-zine back in 2004. The new album 'Enemy Love' follows on from Pierce's previous releases as Louderbach and Slacknoise on Underl_ine, his own label.
Signed to Richie Hawtin's highly-coveted M_nus label, Pierce has also released material on M_nus as Run Stop Restore (with fellow M_nus cohorts Magda and Marc Houle) and toured extensively with Richie Hawtin, Magda and Marc Houle as part of the Minimize To Maximize compilation tour. More recently he's also released remixes of Ellen Allien's 'Your Body Is My Body' on BPitch Control and The Knife's 'The Shout'.
Seemingly immersed in a transcendental musical orb, from the outset of 'Enemy Love', Pierce takes the listener on a deep and dark journey with exquisite composition and use of arrangement. Tracks like ‘Grace (anxiety)’ are described as having an ‘almost post-punk vocal and hypnotic, twangy melody’ and look set to haunt the sets of some of the world's best DJs while the ‘delicate sahko-esque bleeps and warm electro grooves’ on the seductive ‘Selling Souls’ seem to toy with the notion of intimacy and androgyny. Described as an album which will 'push and pull you through a tripped-out labyrinth of sounds sad and heavy hearted at times…’, 'Enemy Love' ranks among some of the best electronic music out there and more importantly should confirm the immense talents of Troy Pierce.
