  • Flow Festival has ended its partnership with Heineken over the brand's decision to continue operating in Russia. In a statement shared by CEO Suvi Kallio on Wednesday, August 8th, the Finnish festival said that it has "reassessed the situation and come to the conclusion to end the partnership and brand cooperation with Heineken." Heineken Silver will no longer be sold at the event. "When we were informed about Heineken's situation in Russia in the spring, we had discussions with the festival's main partner Hartwall about the presence of different products at Flow and evaluated the situation together," the statement continued. "Based on knowledge at that point, Heineken was to leave Russia during the spring. Unfortunately, this has not happened up to this point." Heineken insisted that it's "committed to leaving Russia" back in March but is yet to do so. The brand wants to first "secure the future livelihoods of our almost 1,800 employees." This year's edition of Flow Festival, which is due to begin tomorrow, Friday 11th, will feature the likes of Caroline Polachek, Shygirl, Pusha T, Hunee and John Gómez. Resident Advisor is also returning to host the Front Yard stage, with performances from Kerri Chandler, DJ Voices and Nene H, among others. Read the Instagram post and full statement.
