  • Terraforma won't be returning next year. The Milan festival broke the news on Instagram earlier today, December 18th, expressing "infinite gratitude for these incredible eight editions." The post also pledged to "rethink a model that needs to be changed," indicating Terraforma's desire to return in some form at a later date. "We want to evolve, we want to terraform new dimensions while we terraform ourselves," the post continued. "We feel, once again, ready for change. And we want our community to be part of it." Terraforma has since posted an open call in an attempt to find a new festival location. It is also releasing a VA LP featuring artists such as Donato Dozzy, Marco Shuttle and Suzanne Ciani. Terraforma has been taking place at Villa Arconati, a Baroque-style palatial home ten miles north of Milan, since 2014. Last year's festival featured performances from artists such as Deena Abdelwahed, Hudson Mohawke and Josey Rebelle. Read the post in full and revisit our review of the 2019 edition.
