The outdoor Air Festival in the mountains of Switzerland is happening July 29-30 with Mike Shannon, Anja Schneider, Butane and Heartthrob headlining. Minimal heads will be heading up the mountain for the 2006 Air Festival, organized by Swiss minimal label Imploz. The best of Swiss techno will be in attendance as well as a host of international names. If minimal techno is your bag, this festival is hard to top with Canadian Mike Shannon [Wagon Repair, Dumb-Unit], Anja Schneider [Mobilee], Butane [Alphahouse] and RA podcaster Margaret Dygas headlining. Heartthrob [Minus], Chaton [Plak] and Digitaline [Cadenza] among others will be performing live sets. Check the RA event details for the full lineup. Organisers are expecting 1500-2000 folks to roll along, so it’s likely to be not too big and not too small. And did we mention the surroundings? The festival will take place whatever the weather, but count on it being cooler than the cities in summer with the location perched up at 1000m. Dress code is pigtails and lederhosen. Not.
