  • Nightclub franchise Silencio has arrived in New York. Opened on February 15th, Silencio is located in Hell's Kitchen at the south-west corner of Central Park. The all-red space was designed by Harry Nuriev and inspired by David Lynch's seminal TV show Twin Peaks. It'll open until 4 AM from Thursday through Saturday and promises both local and international talent. Though the upcoming bookings are still TBA, the likes of Peggy Gou, Kaytranada, Chloé Caillet and Yves Tumor have played its sister club in Paris. "Silencio has a history of opening in unexpected locations," a spokesperson told Time Out. The new location was chosen due to its proximity to "where the echoes of Studio 54 still resonate." Speaking to Vogue, club founder Arnaud Frisch said the team was "interested in the history of the neighbourhood and we've always been interested in being a destination place." Silencio is named after Club Silencio, the theatre in Lynch's 2001 thriller Mulholland Drive. The director also designed the flagship nightclub in Paris, which opened in 2011. In 2021, the team opened an Ibiza location. Here are some more photos of the New York space.
