  • A new venue is opening in Utrecht next month. Launching on April 12th, KABUL à GoGo is billed as a community-driven cultural hub for electronic music. The club features two dance floors—the 1,750-capacity Zohal and the more intimate 250-capacity Abu—and will be a "place where cultures merge and where every corner of underground dance music is touched upon," according to the head of programming, Lisa Molle. With its 24-hour license, KABUL à GoGo will combine music, arts, culture and culinary experiences. Its opening party will run from April 12th through 14th, with Coco Bryce, DjRUM, Legowelt, mad miran, Ogazón, DJ MELL G, Jasmín and Vasco among the names performing. Beyond music, KABUL à GoGo will host exhibitions, talks, drag shows, workshops, activities and other community initiatives. There will also be a variety of food options from local and international chefs. Founded by Afghani refugee Omar Waseq, the venue employs former staff members from Dekmantel, De School, EKKO and other local businesses.
