  • AlphaTheta, the parent company of Pioneer DJ, is releasing a rotary mixer for the first time. Priced at £3,2499, the AlphaTheta Euphonia is the first-ever rotary mixer with display, according to the Japanese firm. The four-channel mixer boasts specially developed rotary faders and built-in send FX. The sound is enhanced by 32-bit A/D and D/A converters, and there's 96kHz/64bit floating point mixing processing operations in the DSP. "From DJs who have always used a rotary mixer, to those who currently use a line fader, but are still particular about their sound and how they want their mixes to feel, we believe the Euphonia can deliver a great experience for both types of DJs," said Yuji Murai, AlphaTheta's head of DJ product planning. Last year, AlphaTheta acquired Serato. Both Pioneer DJ and Serato continue to operate as standalone brands. Watch a video of the AlphaTheta Euphonia in action.
