  • Arnaud Rebotini has been accused of harassment and sexual assault, Mediapart reported. The investigative online newspaper spoke to seven women about their experiences with the French artist. The allegations, spanning 13 years, took place at concerts Rebotini was performing at, and predominantly centre around groping and inappropriate physical contact. Rebotini admitted to being an "annoying, old-fashioned flirt," but denied being a "sexual aggressor," in his reponse to Mediapart. "If I behaved badly and they suffered trauma, I apologise. These are things I wouldn't do again, I've completely moved on." Rebotini's tour manager Joran Le Corre also admitted to being aware of the allegations. "Friends of mine have suffered things," he told Mediapart. "It's serious, but these are quite old stories. Arnaud is someone who has made a journey of recognition of his bad behaviour, which I sense in repentance. In six years of working with him, I've never had a venue or festival call me to give me negative feedback." Ivan Smagghe, a founding member of Black Strobe alongside Rebotini, told Mediapart that he left the electroclash group due to both "artistic differences" and Rebotini's "problematic flirtatious attitudes" in 2006. However, "we were not yet talking about aggression," he added. Read Mediapart's report in full, and browse Instagram for more information.
