  • Berlin music and arts venue arkaoda has temporarily closed its basement. The space broke the news on Instagram yesterday, April 3rd, confirming that it has been "confronted with ongoing complaints from neighbours regarding noise levels." The basement, which hosts arkaoda's gig and club programme, will therefore remain closed for two months to allow for "necessary repairs to ensure harmony with our neighbours." A sister venue of the longstanding Istanbul space of the same name, arkaoda is located on Karl-Marx-Platz in the Neukölln area of the city. It has hosted artists such as Borusiade, Nono Gigsta and Theresa Winter in recent weeks. See the post in full.
