Indian label Qilla Records is marking its 100th release with a new compilation out on May 20th.
Chakravyūh, which means spinning wheel in Sanskrit, spans 35 tracks of hypnotic techno and breaks. It features a heavy presence of pan-Asian names, including Temple Rat, Sunju Hargun, Polygonia, Monophonik, Dotdat, Midnight Traffic and Qilla founder Kohra.
Established in 2011, Qilla has since evolved from a label and booking agency hosting artists and managing tours to a collective. Chakravyūh sums up the label's journey over the last decade, Kohra told Resident Advisor. "The idea was to open our doors towards the Asian community, along with our favourites from around the globe and hopefully put Qilla on the map with a sound of our own."
